Well, so it begins. Sophomore year: complete. With a busy year filled with class, extracurriculars, dance, friends and our nation's capital, it seems a relaxing summer would be all too expected, don't you think? We don't want that. So here I am, with four days left on Longfellow Road, in the States, on American ground, or whatever way you want to put it, before jetting off for a six-week European experience.
Condensed, sure. However, how hard can working for the EU be? From what I hear about productivity in the EU, I think they'll take whatever help I can give anyway ;) .
So from suitcase to suitcase, I await the Boston-Toronto-Frankfurt-Brussels travel extravaganza that will take me from Friday afternoon in Boston to Saturday morning in Belgium before jumping right into orientation at 5:00 PM. May the interviews be kind and the host family understanding of a budding french speaker. Any guesses for what the job will end up being?
Oh and brace yourself people. Godiva was born here.
Hi Rachael, looking forward to following your summer. What Godiva - chocolates or Lady?
ReplyDeleteLove,
Uncle Butch
I was referring to the chocolate! Lots of it over here for sure. Glad to hear you'll be following!
ReplyDeleteHave you sampled the local ales yet? A 'Trappiste' a day will keep the Abbes away
